Wow, has our world ever changed in the past few weeks! How great to have the peace that our Almighty God is in control. It is our prayer that the Lord has kept you and your families safe and healthy. Debi and I would have loved to have been able to continue on with our Spring travel schedule as planned, to be with so many of you across the country at retreats, conferences and Women Counseling Women seminars. Here we thought the Corona Virus Pandemic was the most serious issue we all had to deal with, watching the entire world affected by such a frightening situation. But now, we add to that the violent protests, the lack of compassion for humanity from every angle, the anti-police rhetoric and the shocking new legislation being put into action by our Supreme Court and all we can do is look up, listening for the sound of the trumpet , watching for the appearance of our Lord in the sky.
We trust you are praying for our nation, for our leaders, for our brave President, who faces such adversity every minute of every day. Pray that he continues to surround himself with strong and godly men and women as advisers, that the Lord will impart wisdom to those in authority, and that our president will continue to uphold the principles that we cherish as believers. In I Timothy 2:1-4 we are exhorted to pray for ALL men, for all that are in authority, that we might lead a quiet and peaceable life. Please pray that the Lord will be glorified through these trials, that lives will be spared and that many will see their need for a Savior.
I Timothy 2:1-4 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
We’re hoping and praying that the Lord will allow us to go forward with our Fall schedule, that the worst will be behind us in our nation and that we will be free to continue on with our ladies ministry. We understand there is great concern on the parts of the churches and camps that are on our schedule, as to whether it is best to continue with the plans as they are or to postpone. We want you to know that we are with you 100% on whatever decision is right for your particular situation and we will work with you to find a solution. Please know that we are willing to serve the Lord in whatever way He leads and, if you want to forge ahead, we are there with bells on!!!
