I love to teach women the wonders of God’s Word! I enjoy encouraging women in their faith, whether it be through a devotion at a baby shower, a Sunday school lesson, a women’s retreat, or a challenge given at a ladies’ tea or event. Teaching and mentoring women has been one of the sweetest joys of my life. The Bible is filled with refreshing streams of living water that energize the hearts of weary women and brings joy to thirsty souls! There is nothing I love to do more than to share this goodness of the Lord with others and make the Bible come alive as a relevant source of strength and guidance. The Lord Jesus Christ has answers the world does not provide, and His Word is more than enough to meet the challenges women face today.

Why have special ladies’ events or provide a special Bible challenge designed just for them? Women need encouragement! They need to know the love of God and the power of God’s Word to heal their wounded hearts and keep their focus on things that matter. We live in a world that is becoming increasingly more hostile toward Christian women who choose to invest their lives in their children, marriages, family or church. It is a world in which female executives are exalted and praised, while faithful wives and mothers who are devoted to managing their homes are all but forgotten. Our churches are filled with sweet single women who want to live for Christ and love God but struggle to find a place where they are embraced and commended for their godly choices. Older Christian women, too, are facing new challenges as they navigate a world that seems to have little patience for aging bodies that aren’t capable of running the Boston marathon! We all need to be uplifted and gently challenged, comforted and refreshed spiritually—no matter what our particular situation happens to be. This is what drives me to speak and travel, and this is my primary focus in a Bible teaching ministry.

I teach on a variety of topics that specifically address the challenges of Christian women. When considering an invitation to speak, I carefully review the objectives of the church or ministry that is hosting the event and the particular theme or topics that are presented to me. My desire is to partner in ministry with likeminded women and churches who share the same burden and goals as my own. Unity is extremely important to me, and I believe a necessary element of God’s blessing.

While I cannot accept every invitation I receive, I do prayerfully consider each one. To begin the process of scheduling an event, please contact Marilyn Backus. She will provide a form for you to fill out and will personally discuss with you the particulars of your ladies’ event. Once all the preliminary information is gathered, we will go over it together, check the calendar, pray, and then get back with you. If I am able to accept your invitation to speak, we will finalize the date and travel details and then add the event to our calendar. Marilyn will be available to help with all the details and answer any questions that come up. We will both begin preparing and praying for you and the event. We consider it an honor and privilege to serve our Lord alongside those with whom we partner!
